DBasia.news – The Blues are actively moving in the winter transfer market since Cesc Fabregas joined AS Monaco.

Chelsea started the January 2019 by signing Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund worth £58M. Pulisic doesn’t come to Stamford Bridge because he would come during the summer transfer market.

Fabregas departure is just waiting for the deal between both teams or personal deal. The 31-year-old midfielder transfer raised the maneuver effect from Chelsea current transfer.

In the beginning, Chelsea aimed Nicolo Barella from Cagliari. However, Cagliari set the high transfer fee, around 45-50 million euro. Barella has the playing quality but no experience outside of Italy. Chelsea won’t take the risk.

The same thing goes to Gonzalo Higuain. El Pipita often rumored reunited with the former coach in Napoli, Maurizio Sarri. However, the transfer situation is a bit complicated because Higuain is still doing the on-loan period in AC Milan.

Juve set 55 million euro transfer fee and Milan still need him until the end of 2018-2019. The complicated transfer makes Chelsea set the target to another player.

Football-Italia reported Chelsea are targeting the 24-year-old midfielder of Zenit Saint Petersburg, Leandro Paredes. The Argentinian player is the most realistic option for Chelsea.

In his young age, Paredes has 9 caps with Argentina national team. Milan targets him but Paredes might be tempted playing in the Premier League after previously supporting AS Roma.

This season, Paredes played 22 times of all competitions, scoring four goals and four assists. Squawka quoted there’s no Zenit player this season that could pass the ball as much as Paredes: 915 passings in the league.

With the similar playing characteristic as Fabregas and the defensive line option, Paredes might help Jorginho and N’Golo Kante in the midfield.
