Chelsea changes coach, a blessing for Pulisic

DBasia.news – Brad Friedel, a former goalkeeper with a career in the Premier League, believes Christian Pulisic will be able to benefit from the dismissal of Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea.

Tuchel was sacked by Chelsea in early September. The German manager had to leave Stamford Bridge due to the poor results achieved by the club.

Chelsea have lost three in the Premier League. The Blues also lost their first match in the Champions League against Dinamo Zagreb.

Now Tuchel’s position has been replaced by Graham Potter. The former Brighton manager has signed a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge.

Pulisic didn’t obtain much playing time under Tuchel. Friedel believes that Tuchel’s departure from Chelsea will have a positive impact on Pulisic.

“From the point of view of an American fan, I want Pulisic to play more, and I want him to do well in the World Cup,” Friedel told Betway.

“He might actually benefit from the departure of Thomas Tuchel, because things didn’t go well up front in terms of the start and the minutes on the pitch.”

Pulisic might be able to revive his career under Potter. Friedel hopes that can happen.

“Again, I don’t know what Graham Potter thinks of him, but he’s a new head coach so he’s going to give him a chance, I’m sure of that at some stage.”

“But he’s probably one of the players who really benefited from a managerial change.”
