DBasia.news – Chelsea could reportedly sign Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski if they consider releasing Romelu Lukaku.
Chelsea spent 115 million euros to get Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan in the transfer market last summer. The hope, the former Manchester United will be the answer to the problems on the front lines. The Blues don’t have a pure striker like Lukaku.
However, so far Big Rom’s appearance is still far from expectations. Lukaku has only scored five goals in the Premier League.
Things got even more complicated after Lukaku issued a statement that made Chelsea’s ears hot. Lukaku admitted that he wanted to return to Inter Milan after his story at Chelsea did not go well.
Now, Chelsea also want to kick Lukaku. Instead, the Blues targeted Robert Lewandowski.
Even though he is 33 years old, Lewandowski is still the world’s top striker. He has scored 34 goals this season. In fact, Lewandowski’s appearance has only been 27 games.
In addition, Lewandowski was also selected as the best player at the 2021 FIFA awards. In the previous year the Polish player also came out as the best.
Football London reports, Lewy is interested in heading to England towards the end of his career. Therefore, Lewandowski has not renewed his contract with Bayern. Lewandowski’s price is estimated at 40 million euros.
Chelsea president Roman Abramovich is reportedly set to step in directly in negotiations for Lewandowski. Because, Lewandowski’s agent, Pini Zahavi, is a friend of Abramovich’s opponent.
When he bought Chelsea, Abramovich also hired Pini Zahavi. Therefore, it is hoped that a good relationship will facilitate Lewandowski’s move to Stamford Bridge.
