Chelsea vs Frankfurt

DBasia.news –  Chelsea managed to hold host Eintracht Frankfurt with a score of 1-1 at the Commerzbank-Arena Stadium, Frankfurt, Germany, on Friday morning Western Indonesian Time, to pick up an away goal ahead of next week’s Europa League semi-final second match.

A beautiful goal scored by Luka Jovic for Frankfurt managed to be equated by Chelsea through a goal that was equally beautiful owned by Pedro.

The result is a record of the inaugural meeting of the two teams in history, but both Chelsea and Frankfurt must have been eager to win at Stamford Bridge next week to move into the final.

Chelsea tried to appear pressing since the initial kick even though they could not create opportunities that jeopardized Frankfurt’s goal.

The hosts slowly began to find the rhythm of their play and Danny da Costa tried to pull a bait into the face in the 18th minute, but Kepa keeper Arrizabalaga was able to read it and slide to secure the ball.

However, Kepa was unable to do anything when Jovic slid in to welcome Filip Kostic’s cross and pointed it at the far post to bring Frankfurt ahead in the 23rd minute.

The visitors tried to score a goal and their hard work had only come to fruition at the end of the first half when Pedro fired hard to beat goalkeeper Kevin Trapp, after completing a pass from the collaboration between David Luiz and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

In the second half, Chelsea again started well but Loftus-Cheek made a bad decision when he finished a one-two-touch pass with Pedro with a shot that rose above the crossbar in the 55th minute.

Five minutes later, Trapp successfully dispelled David Luiz’s free-kick and hit it on the crossbar which only ended as a corner for Chelsea.

Trapp was again successful in a brilliant save when he thwarted Loftus-Cheek’s close-range strike in the 75th minute and a vomiting ball that Hazard tried to strike struck the Frankfurt defense.

In the remaining time, there is no significant threat to the goals of the two teams, and inevitably the hosts have found they are in a position to score when visiting Stamford Bridge next week.
