Chelsea Extends Callum Hudson-Odoi’s Contract until 2024

DBasia.news –  Chelsea managed to increase the service period of the 18-year-old player, Callum Hudson-Odoi, until 2024. He would be paid 180,000 pounds per week.

The long wait regarding the issue of the British wing attacker’s contract has ended. Chelsea is able to be calm in keeping its valuable assets from the pursuit of top European clubs, especially Bayern Munchen, who sees Hudson-Odoi as the successor of Arjen Robben.

The Chelsea academy product is pleased to have signed a new contract with the club. Hudson-Odoi, who is currently injured, hopes to recover soon and help Frank Lampard’s team reach the target of winning the trophy this season.

“This is a really great feeling. The wait is long but now it’s over and I’m really happy. I’ve been at Chelsea since the age of eight and this is the right club for me,” Hudson-Odoi stated on the club’s official website.

“I want to win as many trophies as possible, win as many matches as possible, and contribute to the number of goals. As a team, we just want to work hard to achieve the best results we can achieve.”

Added by Marina Granovskaia, Director of Chelsea, she believes that Hudson-Odoi will develop rapidly in the years to come and add to the great talents that come from the academy besides: Fikayo Tomori, Mason Mount, and Tammy Abraham.

Lampard also spoke about Hudson-Odoi’s contract. He has full confidence that the player born in Wandsworth, November 7 2000, can become a world-class player in the future.

“I have seen Callum from the academy and he is a fantastic player. He can show, here at Chelsea, that he will be a world class player as I am fully convinced of that,” concluded Lampard.
