DBasia.news – Bad news came from Chelsea. The Blues are subject to a transfer embargo from FIFA after breaking the rules and registering players under the age of 18.
FIFA penalizes the London Blue with a transfer embargo for the next two transfer markets.
“The FIFA Discipline Committee has sentenced English club Chelsea FC and FA for violations relating to international transfers and registration of players under the age of 18,” read a statement from FIFA.
“Chelsea was found violating article 19 of the regulation in the case of 29 underage players and had committed several other violations relating to player registration requirements. The club also violated article 18 of the regulation in the case of two agreements regarding underage players and that allow it to influence other clubs in matters related to transfers. “
“The Discipline Committee has penalized Chelsea with a ban on registering new players both at national and international levels for two registration periods. This ban applies to all components of the club – with the exception of the women’s team and futsal – and does not close the gap for the release of players. “
Besides those convictions, the Blues were also fined CHF 600,000. The London Blue is given 90 days to set the situation concerning the underage players.
