Chelsea Loses, Lampard Sets a Record
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Chelsea were surprisingly humiliated by Valencia at Stamford Bridge after Rodrigo Moreno was able to score in the 74th minute.
The disgraceful defeat has even now made the Blues sit in third place in Group H Champions League with a nirpoin.
This defeat became a separate record for Frank Lampard. The coach who this season has been lined up as captain of the London Blue squad became Chelsea’s first manager to lose in the inaugural Champions League match.
Ten of the previous 11 matches were won except for Gianluca Vialli who drew against AC Milan in 1999.
Apart from the bad record, in fact Lampard was indeed disappointed with the results obtained by his foster children. He considers these results should not have been obtained by Chelsea.
“We probably should have won or even drawn. We created many chances, got penalties. But in the meantime, they managed to score from one on target shot first,” he stated.
