Chelsea Named as the Most Lavish Premier League Team in the Summer Transfer Market 2020

DBasia.news – Chelsea have been named the Premier League club’s most extravagant player spending in the 2020 summer transfer market.
Sky Sports noted that Premier League clubs spent 1.24 billion pounds on 107 permanent recruits over the summer. The total is just 160 million pounds less than last summer.
Chelsea is the most wasteful club in the transfer market this summer. One of the recruits, Kai Havertz, with 75.8 million pounds, was even the most expensive in this period.
In Sky Sports records, Chelsea poured up to 226.1 million pounds, for player spending this summer. Quite far above Manchester City, the team’s second biggest spenders, with 147 million pounds.
Aston Villa, interestingly, became the third team to waste player spending with 85 million pounds. Followed by Leeds United (84.5 million pounds), and Wolves (83.6 million pounds). Next there are Liverpool (81.7 million pounds), Arsenal (81.5 million pounds), Everton (65 million pounds), Tottenham (62 million pounds), and Manchester United (54.4 million pounds) in the top 10.
Meanwhile, in the sales department, Wolves is the club that makes the most money from releasing players. Wolves got a total of 76 million pounds.
Manchester City became the second team with the most income from selling players, namely 70.5 million pounds. Leicester with 51.7 million pounds are in third place.
Chelsea themselves only made 13.5 million pounds from selling players this summer. This made the Blues again topped net spending with 212.6 million pounds.
In the net spend standings, Aston Villa is in second place with 85 million pounds, or around 128 million pounds behind Chelsea in the top position.
