Chelsea Officially Sign Denis Zakaria from Juventus

DBasia.news – Chelsea finally officially brought Denis Zakaria from Juventus just before the summer transfer window closed.

The Blues agreed to loan him out for a season with an option to buy him £30m. In addition, Chelsea will also pay his entire salary.

“Swiss international Denis Zakaria has joined Chelsea on loan from Juventus for the remainder of the 2022/23 season, with the option of a permanent transfer at the end of the season,” read a statement on the club’s website.

“The 25-year-old is a strong and energetic midfielder who excels in tackling and passes the ball well.”

“Zakaria rose to prominence in the Bundesliga with Borussia Monchengladbach, where he was most often deployed as a defensive midfielder. He can also play further forward or in midfield.”

Zakaria said he was delighted to be playing for Chelsea and he couldn’t wait to see a Stamford Bridge filled with fans.

“I want to say hello to all the Chelsea fans. I’m very happy and proud to be the Blues and I can’t wait to see you at Stamford Bridge soon,” said Zakaria.
