Tuchel reportedly gave the green light for the transfer. The coach was the one who brought Icardi to Paris Saint-Germain from Inter Milan. According to Tuchel, Icardi is a good contender for Lukaku.
Meanwhile, Icardi is believed to be interested in defending Chelsea. As his playing time at PSG has began to decrease. Moreover, after Lionel Messi joined last summer.
Les Parisiens reportedly also opened up opportunities for Icardi to leave. The striker, who is still under contract until 2024, is valued at 35 million euros.
