By db-admin

DBasia.news – Chelsea failed to achieve any points in Week 35 of the English League against Sheffield United. The Blues were defeated 0-3 by the Blades. Chelsea competed at Bramall Lane, Sheffield, Saturday (11/07/2020) AM. Chelsea were immediately left behind 0-2 in the first round, after the goal was broken into David McGoldrick and Oliver McBurnie.

Three goals from The Blades directed by Chris Wilder were scored by David McGoldrick (18 ’77 ‘) and Oli McBurnie (33’). These results kept Sheffield’s chance to enter the Champions League zone maintained at a distance of five points from Leicester City.

Leicester is ranked fourth with 59 points and hasn’t played the 35th Premier League match. While the position of Chelsea is prone to be overtaken by Leicester and also by Manchester United in fifth place of the standings (two points adrift).

If Man United, coached by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wins the Week 35 match against Southampton at Old Trafford, Tuesday (7/14 2:00 a.m. WIB, then Chelsea can be eliminated from the Champions League zone (if Leicester also wins).

The defeat was the subject of evaluation by Frank Lampard, the Chelsea manager. Moreover, in the match statistics, an anomaly of 76 percent of Chelsea’s possession and 13 kicks and four of them were on target – none of which scored a goal.

While Sheffield only controlled the ball by 26 percent with eight kick attempts and four on target. According to Opta the result was the biggest defeat to the team that controlled the ball by 76 percent in the Premier League – since the data was made by Opta in the 2003-04 season.

“They (Sheffield) are better than us, physically, in the mindset and with the ball. So you lose,” Lampard told Sky Sports.

“They are stronger than us. You feel and hear every sound and all I can hear is the voice of Sheffield United. They are a good team. If you come here and perform under this performance this will happen.”

“We compensated for their performance. We were too slow and didn’t put our winger into the game. We tried to gain control, which we did but didn’t threaten. When you are 0-2 behind you make it difficult for yourself.

“You analyze all the seasons and review and move forward. We must immediately forget about it and fight for the top four. I learned a lot and I will not forget that.”

Lampard is also more concerned about the performance of his team rather than thinking about the position team’s vulnerable state of being shifted by rival teams.

“I am not worried today about the top four. All I can do is sit and watch the game and consider what we want to do. But today I am worried about the team’s performance,” Lampard added.

In the remaining three Premier League matches Chelsea will play Norwich City (07/15), Liverpool (07/23), and Wolverhampton Wanderers (07/26).
