Chelsea will return to having their former players

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Chelsea have always been open to ex-players returning to the club, of course in a different role on the coaching staff or in another role. Currently there are Claude Makelele, John Terry, and Petr Cech.

One more name has the potential to follow them back to Stamford Bridge. He is Chelsea’s former full-back in mid 2007-2010, Juliano Belletti. There is no question about experience as a player.

Belletti has won the Champions League and two La Ligas with Barcelona, two Spanish Super Cups and a Premier League title with Chelsea. During his career Belletti also got to know Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain at Manchester City, both of whom were also known at Barcelona.

He also shared a message with Edu Gaspar, Arsenal’s Technical Director and with that experience and communication network, Belletti did not rule out returning to Chelsea and assisting Club Director Marina Granovskaia.

“My relationship with the club (Chelsea) is fantastic. Since I returned to Brazil in 2010, my relationship of friendship and respect has continued,” Belletti told Goal.

“I’m used to coming back here many times, so a lot of people think this (returning as sporting director) can happen. They may still think so, but it’s more important to have a good relationship with the club.

“I have a new goal now to become a coach. People keep seeing that I travel a lot, but it’s to maintain the relationship and bring them forward to be stronger.”

“I have Brazilian DNA but I understand the English game after playing it. So, if Chelsea need me, then I am ready. I love the country and the city,” said Belletti.

Despite being away from Chelsea, Belletti continued to watch Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel and Belletti admired him.

“For him to come in and have the courage to change the whole system and the way it works, it’s spectacular,” said Belletti.

“I respect him as a coach. I studied football, so I followed a lot of European teams and how they work.”

“One of the teams I like to watch the most is Chelsea because of the way Tuchel trains,” explained Belletti.
