Christian Pulisic Criticizes Tuchel’s Way of Positioning Players
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Chelsea attacking midfielder, Christian Pulisic, criticized the tactics of the coach, Thomas Tuchel. Pulisic assesses, the decline in performance he is experiencing at this time can not be separated from the placement of the position made by Tuchel.
Previously, Thomas Tuchel received criticism from his own player, Romelu Lukaku. Big Rom feels that Tuchel’s playing system actually makes his performance not come out optimally.
What Lukaku said was visible on the field. The striker’s appearance was not as sharp as it was at Inter. So far, Lukaku has only scored eight goals.
Now, Tuchel is getting scathing criticism from his players. Christian Pulisic revealed that he had difficulty developing because he appeared in an unwanted position.
“I don’t always play in the position I want to be. However, I think a player with good quality is when he plays versatile in various positions.” Pulisic said in an interview with NBC Sports.
Thomas Tuchel did experiment by placing Pulisic as a full-back. Tuchel took the decision not only to give Pulisic a chance, but also because the depth of the squad in that position was very shallow.
Pulisic did not want to succumb to circumstances. However, he still has the desire to play in his usual position of winger.
“I’ve learned a lot and am ready for action. The hope is to be in a more comfortable position for me in the next few games.”
Chelsea bought Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund in the winter of 2019. To be able to get the player from the United States, the Blues poured up to 58 million pounds.
