Cody Gakpo becomes Manchester United’s target?
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Manchester United are still trying to strengthen their team by bringing in new players. Currently, the Red Devils are signing Cody Gakpo, the spearhead of PSV Eindhoven.
Manchester United were on a mission to find forwards in the transfer market last summer. Understandably, the options for Erik ten Hag thinned out after Edinson Cavani was not renewed.
However, until the transfer market ended, Manchester United did not have a new striker. Therefore, the Red Devils want to complete unfinished tasks in the middle of the transfer market this season.
Transfer market expert, Fabrizio Romano, reported that one name that Man United will be targeting is Cody Gakpo. The Dutch player has been on Man United’s list since last summer.
However, at that time, Manchester United preferred to bring in Antony. Although, the desire to sign Gakpo is just as great.
Erik ten Hag has reportedly given the green light for the transfer. He urged Man United’s management to spend money to sign Cody Gakpo.
PSV Eindhoven did not want to lose Gakpo, especially in the middle of the season. However, an offer of 50 million euros is believed able to make PSV change their minds.
Cody Gakpo is a striker who forged his talents at the PSV Eindhoven academy. This season, the 23-year-old player has scored 10 goals and provided 9 assists in 14 games.
