Competition in the J1 League 2022 Club Jersey Manufacturers

DBasia.news – J1 League 2022 will be participated by 18 teams spread from all over Japan. There are five countries that are manufacturers of the club’s jersey.

Jersey manufacturers from Japan, Germany and the United States were the most dominant, with each of the five clubs producing jerseys, plus two jersey manufacturers from England and one from Brazil.

Puma (Germany) is at the forefront of this by becoming a jersey manufacturer for four clubs at once: Kawasaki Frontale, Shimizu S-Pulse, Kyoto Sanga, and Cerezo Osaka.

Puma has also been the “most successful” jersey manufacturer in recent years with Kawasaki Frontale winning the Meiji Yasuda J1 League four times in the last five seasons.

Another giant jersey manufacturer from Germany, Adidas, only produces jerseys for one club, Yokohama F Marinos. The only club to win other than Kawasaki Frontale in the last five seasons.

Germany’s biggest rival comes from the United States through two jersey manufacturers, Nike and New Balance. Nike is behind Puma by producing jerseys for three clubs, Kashima Antlers, Urawa Red Diamonds and Sanfrecce Hiroshima.

Meanwhile, New Balance, as one of the new players in the world of foorbal jerseys, is the jersey manufacturer for Sagan Tosu and FC Tokyo.

Besides Germany and the United States, there are also five clubs that have jersey manufacturers from local Japanese companies.

Vissel Kobe is the only club to wear a jersey made by the Asics manufacturer.

Meanwhile, two other jersey manufacturers are better known for producing non-football sports equipment, namely Mizuno (Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo, Nagoya Grampus) and Yonex (Kashiwa Reysol, Avispa Fukuoka).

Apart from these three countries, there are two teams that wear uniforms from British jersey manufacturers.

Jubilo Iwata wore Admiral’s jersey, while Gamba Osaka wore Umbro’s jersey.

One last team, Shonan Bellmare, made Brazilian manufacturer, Penalty their jersey manufacturer this season.
