DBasia.news – Though he no longer coaches Inter Milan, Il Nerazzurri are still one of the teams in Antonio Conte’s heart. The coach who is now managing Tottenham Hotspur predicts a bright future for Inter.

Conte (52 years old) coached Inter for two years (2019-2021). During this time, Conte ended Inter’s wait for the Scudetto in 2021 after last winning it in 2010 in the club’s historic treble-winning year.

Conte started Juventus’ dominance in Serie A and it was he who ended it with Inter. The coach received the Vittorio Pozzo award in recognition of his performance and qualities as a coach.

“It is a great pride and satisfaction,” Conte said, according to Sky Sport Italia.

“We know what Vittorio Pozzo represents for our category. For me, winning the award named after him is truly an honor.”

Not only with Inter, Conte has also won league titles with Juventus and Chelsea. At Inter his position was replaced by Simone Inzaghi and the club is currently still in the race for the Scudetto.

Although his current focus is on Tottenham, Conte is still keeping an eye on Inter’s actions. While telling the story of two intense years at Inter, Conte predicts Inter’s future which will remain competitive for the Serie A title for many years to come.

“It was a very intense two years, I lived it with enthusiasm and passion. I was asked to bring the title back to Inter, we all did well, including the managers, players and staff,” Conte added.

“In two years, I think we did a good job. Inter are now a very competitive team and I think they will stay that way for many years to come.”
