Could be a deadly duet with CR7, Juventus choose to give up the opportunity to recruit Ibrahimovic

DBasia.news – Having Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic up front can be a big threat to opposing teams. But this opportunity was passed by Juventus.
Juventus apparently had the opportunity to pair Ronaldo and Ibrahimovic last summer. At that time, the Swedish striker was on a free transfer after his contract with Milan ended.
This fact was revealed directly by Ibrahimovic’s agent, Mino Raiola. However, the Old Lady was not really interested in the plan.
“Last summer when he (Ibrahimovic) was free, everyone made the mistake of not taking him, including Juve,” Raiola told Tuttosport.
“He would be the ideal person to work with Cristiano Ronaldo and go together to attack the Champions League. Bringing two prima donna will not be a problem.”
Juventus has had Ronaldo since 2018. The Portuguese superstar was purchased from Real Madrid for 100 million euros.
Juventus’ goal in bringing Ronaldo is of course to resolve his curiosity in the Champions League.
Unfortunately after two seasons, CR7 has not been able to answer the Bianconeri’s longing for the Big Ear trophy.
However, the idea of pairing Ronaldo with Ibrahimovic does not appear to be part of Juventus’ plans. Past problems may be the reason.
As is known, Ibrahimovic played for Juventus in the 2004 to 2006 period. However, the striker chose to leave when the Turin club was relegated because of Calciopoli’s case.
The problem is that Ibrahimovic chose to leave for Inter Milan, which is actually Juventus’ main rival. Understandably he was labeled a traitor because of this decision.
Juventus may regret that decision. Ibrahimovic proved to have appeared stunning with AC Milan after signing a new one-year contract.
While Juventus finally sent home Alvaro Morata to become Ronaldo’s partner. Ironically, the Spanish striker was signed at a high price even though he was only on loan.
