Courtois Asked Bale to Keep Performing Brilliantly

DBasia.news – Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois hopes Gareth Bale could keep his best performance. Courtois thinks Bale has the talent to replace Cristiano Ronaldo.

In the semifinal round of Club World Cup, Bale scored the hattrick and brought Real Madrid to the final round. In the final round, Los Blancos defeated the host, Al-Ain and achieved the Club World Cup champion title.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is irreplaceable, you cannot forget what he did,” Courtois told reporters.

“But he is not here anymore, so it’s time for other players, like Bale did in the semi-finals (of the Club World Cup), to score the goals he (Ronaldo) used to score. If we are able to do so, it’ll be fine,” he added.

Currently, Karim Benzema is the top-scorer of Los Blancos with 11 goals of all competitions. Bale is the runner-up with 10 goals of all competitions.

After the Club World Cup match, El Real would have a short break before competing in the LaLiga. In the upcoming LaLiga match, they would visit the struggling team, Villareal at Estadio de la Ceramica on January 4th.
