Covid-19 has not subside, Arsenal plans to Open their Training Headquarters

DBasia.news – Arsenal plans to reopen their training base at London Colney for the players. However, strict rules will be enforced to avoid the spread of covid-19.
The corona virus has not subsided in the UK and 148,377 cases have been discovered with 20,319 deaths to date (26/04). Mikel Arteta, Arsenal manager, is the first case of covid-19 in England from the top figures there.
Nevertheless Arsenal would still open their training center next week by providing social distancing rules. The announcement came after the club announced a salary cut of 12.5 percent of the player’s annual income.
“Players will be allowed to access our London Colney training ground next week. Access will be restricted, carefully managed and social distance will be maintained at all times,” said an Arsenal spokesman, as quoted from Goal.
“All Colney buildings will remain closed. Players will travel alone, doing individual training and return home,” he continued.
Added by the Guardian, Arsenal’s training session will not be as a group like usual, but with individual training without the coaching staff. The players are expected to make good use of the total of 10 field facilities there.
The league has been postponed due to the corona virus and currently Arsenal are ninth in the Premier League standings with 40 points, eight points adrift of Chelsea who are in the Champions League zone.
UEFA as the European Football Federation hopes that the European leagues in the 2019-20 season can be completed, despite the fact that the KNVB has decided to cancel the 2019-20 Eredivisie without champions and the teams being relegated and promoted.
