Covid-19pandemic, Former Chelsea Player Violates Social Distancing Rules

By db-admin

DBasia.news – The 2019-20 Bundesliga had just reopened a training session amid the corona virus pandemic and a number of issues have emerged. One of the latest issues is the violation of social distancing rules by ex-Chelsea player, Salomon Kalou.

While the public still questiones the Bundesliga’s decision to hold a training session and finding 10 people positive for the virus after being tested – three from FC Koln, Salomon Kalou also made his club upset, Hertha Berlin.

In a video posted on Facebook, the 34-year-old player is seen violating social distancing rules in Germany. Kalou shook his teammate’s hand and interrupted the examination of the medical team before the video was deleted.

The German Football League (DFL) sees Kalou’s video as an ‘unacceptable’ attitude. Hertha acted immediately by sentencing Kalou, assessing that his attitude showed inappropriate or irresponsible situation according to club rules.

Hertha continued, after the team returned from corona virus testing, Kalou was declared negative.

“With his video, Salomon Kalou not only did a lot of damage to Hertha BSC, but also created the impression that individual players do not take the corona virus seriously, during big discussions regarding football resumption and the role of professional play,” said General Manager Hertha , Michael Preetz.

Responding to his attitude, Kalou has apologized. He claimed to have been worried about conditions in Africa amid the corona virus pandemic.

“I regret the impression I made that imposed me of not taking the corona virus seriously. What happened was the opposite, I am actually very worried about the people in Africa, as medical treatment there is not as good as in Germany,” Kalou explained.

“I didn’t really think about it, and am glad that my test results came back negative.”

“I also want to apologize to everyone who appeared in the video who did not know that I was broadcasting live and to whom I did not want to be involved in this situation,” Kalou concluded.
