CR7 Reminds Haaland and Mbappe of the Competition for the World’s Best Player
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe are considered to be the successors of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi in the competition to be the best in the world. However, this assumption was not approved by CR7.
Ronaldo and Messi have dominated European and world football for over the last decade. The two took turns celebrating prestigious titles at club level and individual awards such as the Ballon d’Or.
But as they got older, Ronaldo and Messi began to experience a decline in performance. The careers of the two megastars are indeed nearing their end.
On the other hand, Mbappe and Haaland emerge as the latest wonderkids to rock the world. The two young players had an above average goal instinct.
Haaland and Mbappe have even become the hottest commodities in the transfer market. It is not impossible that one or both of them will break the record for the world’s most expensive player.
Ronaldo admits that Haaland and Mbappe have the potential to become the world’s best players. However, he felt that this status was not worthy of the two of them at this time.
“Some players can have one or two great seasons. But the really great players are those who continue to do it season after season, and that’s not easy to do,” Ronaldo said as quoted by Goal.
“It takes a lot of hard work, and a lot of commitment.”
This statement is certainly a warning for Mbappe and Haaland. Consistency is a major problem for young players like them.
Haaland or Mbappe
Ronaldo himself is reluctant to choose between Haaland or Mbappe who will first win the status of the world’s best player. He does not want to ignore other names that also have the potential to become stars.
“It is difficult to choose which one of the players will be the best. But I think it is interesting to see the competition for this new generation of young players such as Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe as well as other players who will come,” he concluded.
