DBasia.news – Cristiano Ronaldo has posted a heartfelt farewell message to Juventus after his return transfer to Manchester United was confirmed on Friday (27/8).
Ronaldo will return to Old Trafford in an initial £13m (€15m/$18m) deal, with an additional £7m (€8m/$9m).
The 36-year-old Portuguese star thanked the Bianconeri fans for their support after he spent three seasons in Turin.
“Today I leave an amazing club, the biggest club in Italy and certainly one of the biggest in all of Europe,” Ronaldo wrote on Instagram.
“I have given my heart and soul to Juventus, and I will always love the city of Turin until my last days.”
“The ‘Bianconeri tifosi’ have always respected me and I try to thank them for that respect by fighting for them in every game, every season, every competition. In the end, we can all look back and realize that we achieved great things , not everything we wanted, but still, we wrote quite a beautiful story together.”
“I will always be one of you. You are now part of my history, because I feel that I am part of you. Italy, Juve, Turin, the Bianconeri tifosi, you will always be in my heart.”
During three seasons with Juventus, Ronaldo scored 101 goals in 134 appearances. Ronaldo collected two Italian Serie A titles in his first two seasons at Juventus and won the Coppa Italia trophy last season. However, Ronaldo failed to help Juventus win the Champions League title.
