Cristiano Ronaldo wasn’t the cause of MU’s failure

DBasia.news – Manchester United’s failure in the 2021/22 season is not because of Cristiano Ronaldo. According to former Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand, the Portuguese star has played his part to the best of his ability.
MU are again sinking in the pit of failure. This season they can only finish in sixth place in the Premier League standings, and that too with a bit of luck.
Even so, in the midst of MU’s difficulties, Ronaldo continues to play at a high level. The Portuguese superstar has scored 18 league goals, a sizeable figure for a 37-year-old player.
Unfortunately, there were accusations that Ronaldo’s presence had a bad impact on other players. What does it mean?
Ronaldo deserves to be called MU’s best player this season. However, there are rumors that Ronaldo’s presence has made it difficult for other players such as Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford.
Even so, the news was immediately denied by Rio Ferdinand. As a former colleague of Ronaldo and a Manchester United legend, Ferdinand sees Ronaldo as having done his job well.
“On an individual level, Ronaldo has done what he usually does. He scores important goals, he wins games,” said Ferdinand.
“And without Ronaldo, they wouldn’t have made it to the knockout stages of the Champions League. He’s scored the winning goal time and time again and he’s stepped up his contribution.”
Furthermore, Ferdinand assesses precisely MU as a club that has failed to help Ronaldo reach his best level this season. MU can not provide enough resources to win the trophy.
“In my opinion, it is clear that the club failed to play its part in providing a platform for him to be successful.”
“This is proof that great players, those who are mentioned in the debate about the best players in the world, still can’t do it alone.”
“You still need the help of team-mates. This case is the proof,” he added.
