By db-admin

DBasia.news – Darwin Nunez, Liverpool striker, managed to break the record as the fastest player in Premier League history.

Most recently, Nunez succeeded in bringing Liverpool to beat West Ham United in week 12 at Anfield, Thursday (20/10).

The Uruguay player scored the Reds’ winning goal in the 22nd minute with a header that continued Kostas Tsimikas’ cross.

In addition, Nunez successfully set a record in the Premier League as the fastest player when recording a top speed of 23.61 miles (37.99 km) per hour.

The 23-year-old player surpassed the previous record set by Man City left-back Kyle Walker, who reached 23.48 miles (37.78 km) per hour in June 2020.

Last season, Nunez first listed himself as the second fastest player in the Champions League when he was still at Benfica.

The 85 million pound Liverpool signing reached a top speed of 22.68 miles (36.49 km) per hour. He is still behind Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe, who reached 22.8 miles (36.69 km) per hour against Real Madrid.
