Darwin Nunez obtained a red card

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Liverpool were forced to share points by Crystal Palace in the second week of the English Premier League match which was held at Anfield.

In addition to falling behind thanks to Wilfried Zaha’s counter-attack goal (32′), the Reds also had to play with 10 players after Darwin Nunez was sent off in the second half.

Fortunately for Jurgen Klopp, Luis Diaz’s brilliant moment in the 61st minute saved Liverpool with the match ending 1-1. This was the Reds’ second draw in a row, having previously been held to a 2-2 draw by Fulham in the opening weekend.

Attacked by Liverpool’s 11 shots, Palace took the lead through their first shot in the 32nd minute. From Vicente Guaita’s long shot, Eberichi Eze darted past Fabinho and passed the ball to Zaha, who danced into the box before slotting the ball into the bottom corner of the far post.

The situation was even more complicated for Jurgen Klopp’s fleet when Darwin Nunez was sent off immediately as he was consumed by Joachim Andersen’s provocation in the 57th minute. The Danish defender pushed Nunez away, and he reacted by headbutting him in the face. The Uruguay striker had to be urged by his colleagues to leave immediately.

Nunez became the second Liverpool player to be sent off in his first Premier League appearance at Anfield after Joe Cole vs Arsenal in 2010.

In those dark times, Luis Diaz came as a savior. Four minutes after being forced to play with 10 personnel, the Reds actually equalized through the magical action of the Colombian winger.

Diaz picked up James Milner’s pass down the left, cuting inside past several Palace defenders, before twisting the ball into the top right corner of Guaita’s goal. Brilliant.

Liverpool’s search for the winning goal showed results, and Patrick Vieira’s team managed to snatch a point from their home ground.

Two draws in a row will also beatify Manchester City and Pep Guardiola, with one of their closest competitors never gaining momentum in the first two games.
