Dean Henderson Has Big Ambition to Replace David De Gea’s Position

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Dean Henderson claimed to have big ambitions to become Manchester United’s main goalkeeper. In fact he is ready to compete directly with David De Gea in order to realize this.

Henderson showed convincing performance when loaned to Sheffield United in the last two seasons. He was instrumental in bringing the Blades promotion to the Premier League to become a dark horse this season.

At almost the same time, De Gea actually experienced a decrease in performance. The Spanish goalkeeper began to be familiar with the blunders and made him bombarded with criticism.

This fact makes the insistence that Henderson move up to become the main goalkeeper of Manchester United to emerge. The 23-year-old player was confident to be able to carry out these responsibilities.

“I think it is clear for everyone to know that I want to play for Manchester United and the England national team. I am a young man, working hard, a fan of this club and I want to play for them,” Henderson told TV3.

“Hopefully I have a career at Man Utd like David de Gea has.”

Even so, Henderson realized his desire would not be easily realized. He considers De Gea still one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

“Fans must remember what he (De Gea) has done for the past nine years because he was phenomenal. He was probably the best player at United in that period,” he added.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer doesn’t want to discuss this polemic too far. Until now he still gives full trust to De Gea.
