Defeated by Burnley, Antonio Conte is frustrated with Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur manager, Antonio Conte, was furious with the defeat he received against Burnley in the 2021-2022 Premier League match, at Turf Moor Stadium, Thursday (24/2) morning WIB. Conte indicated that he was no longer able to manage Tottenham.

After winning an impressive victory against Manchester City, Tottenham continued to play poorly. Facing Burnley who struggled to avoid relegation, the Lilywhites lost 1-0 thanks to Ben Mee’s goal in the 71st minute.

It was Tottenham’s fourth defeat in the last five games. Tottenham’s chances of breaking into the top four are even more difficult.

This situation disappointed Antonio Conte. He considered, there was something wrong with Tottenham so they couldn’t win.

“I came here to help the club. If the problem is the coach, I am willing to leave. No problem,” Conte said as quoted by the BBC.

“I am not used to this situation. I tried everything, but the situation has not changed. I am willing to be open with the club to do what it wants,” he added.

“I want to help the club. I work very hard. I give Tottenham 20 hours a day and another four hours to sleep. But it’s not enough.”

Conte admitted that he would soon meet with the club to find a way out. He was frustrated with what had happened.

“For me, the situation is hard to accept. Four times in five games for Tottenham would have to be a disaster.”

“I came to try to fix the situation. Maybe, at the moment I’m not very suitable to solve the problem. I’m too honest to turn a blind eye and continue in this way,” added the former Inter Milan coach.

Conte felt that it did not have an impact because Tottenham’s game was still sluggish. Conte gives a generous code if sacked by Tottenham.

“I have ambition. I hate losing. To take a salary I don’t think is right. I wanted to help Tottenham from the first day I came. However, four defeats in five games was the first time in my life.”

“Right now, we can finish 10th, 12th or 13th. We can finish the competition in the same position I came here,” said Antonio Conte.
