Defeated by Spurs, Azpilicueta Admits Chelsea Played Poorly

DBasia.news – Chelsea defender, Cesar Azpilicueta, talks about his team defeat against Tottenham Hotspur. He admits that Chelsea performed poorly and must go home with no achievement from Wembley Stadium.
Chelsea got defeated 1-3 in the London Derby. Tottenham won 2-0 after Dele Alli scored the goal at 8′ followed by Harry Kane at 16′. Heung-Min Son also brought Tottenham won 3-0 at 54′ before Olivier Giroud scored the only goal for Chelsea at 85′.
“The start was really bad. After 15 minutes being 2-0 down is tough to come back from,” Azpilicueta said.
“It’s true in the last couple of games we didn’t start the game in the way we have to start. In some ways, we didn’t pay for it, but we paid for it straightaway against Tottenham,” he added.
Azpilicueta tipped his hat for Tottenham. He admits Mauricio Pochettino squad are really great in attacking.
“Tottenham are an aggressive team, they press well, and we were not able to get out with the ball and play our football,” he said.
Chelsea are dropped to the fourth position. Tottenham surpassed them with two higher points. Meanwhile, Manchester City stay strong as the leader with 35 points, two points higher than Liverpool the closest rival.
