Denzel Dumfries is a candidate to replace Achraf Hakimi at Inter Milan

DBasia.news – Inter Milan is still looking for players to fill the position of defender or right wing defender that will be left by Achraf Hakimi. Several names are being targeted, including one of the stars of the Dutch national team at Euro 2020, Denzel Dumfries.
As is known, it is only a matter of time before Hakimi heads to PSG (Paris Saint-Germain). It is believed Fabrizio Romano, PSG’s European football transfer expert will announce Hakimi along with Sergio Ramos and Gianluigi Donnarumma.
PSG purchased the Moroccan national team defender with a tag of 70 million euros plus bonuses depending on performance. Inter immediately prepared a number of replacements such as Hector Bellerin, Manuel Lazzari, and Davide Zappacosta.
The latest player to enter Inter’s target list, according to Calciomercato, is Denzel Dumfries. His name stood out thanks to his great performance at Euro 2020 with the Dutch national team and he has scored two goals.
Dumfries (25 years old) defended PSV Eindhoven and filled the Dutch right-wing post when he was coached by Frank de Boer. Even though their run was stopped in the top 16 after losing to the Czech Republic, Dumfries’ performance was in the spotlight.
His contract expires in 2023 with PSV and he is valued at 20 million euros. Inter did not want to meet that price, but he contacted the player’s agent to seek a deal.
Furthermore, Inter can sign players only through a loan scheme with a purchase option. It is unknown whether PSV will accept the offer considering Dumfries is one of their best players.
