Didier Deschamps Continues to Coach France at the 2022 World Cup
By db-admin
DBasia.news – French Football Federation (FFF) president Noel Le Graet has confirmed that Didier Deschamps will continue to coach the French national team until after the 2022 World Cup.
Previously, speculation about the future of Deschamps was a question mark as Les Blues were eliminated from the round of 16 of the European Cup 2020. France were eliminated by Switzerland on penalties with a score of 5-4 (3-3).
Moreover, the name Zinedine Zidane who is unemployed appears, will become Deschamps’ successor in the French national team. However, this speculation was broken by the FFF’s commitment to continue Deschamps’ tenure at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
“The problem was solved in three minutes. His desire to stay was very strong and I also wanted him to stay,” explained FFF president Nole Le Graet to L’Equipe.
“There’s no debate about what we should do or how we’re going to do it,” the 79-year-old concluded.
Deschamps has coached France since 9 years ago. During his time in charge of France, Deschamps went through 117 matches with 76 wins, 23 draws and 18 defeats. The 2018 World Cup trophy is proof of Deschamps’ capacity.
