Diego Costa clarifies his relationship with Chelsea fans

DBasia.news – An interesting thing happened when Chelsea defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers with a score of 3-0 in the Premier League. Diego Costa received a lot of rave reviews from Stamford Bridge fans, despite coming as an opponent.

Costa is a former Chelsea spearhead. He strengthened the Blues for three seasons and successfully presented two Premier League titles.

But Costa left Chelsea in a bad way. He was absent from training after a conflict with the manager, Antonio Conte.

Before leaving, Costa said Chelsea management treated him like a criminal. The Spanish player was also forced to be out of work for half the season as he moved to Atletico Madrid when the summer transfer window closed.

This action then made Chelsea fans not sympathize with Costa. But it turns out that the player who is now 34 years old still gets a warm welcome.

Costa also admitted that he was impressed with the reception. He emphasized the great respect for Chelsea fans.

“I’ve never had a problem with the fans. My problem is not with the crowd, but with the coach (Conte),” Costa said as quoted by the Daily Mail.

“Today shows that I didn’t leave with a bad relationship with the fans. It’s special and signifies that I did a good job and left great memories.”

“Chelsea fans have always treated me well. I am always surprised by the way they treat me. It is satisfying,” he added.

The treatment of Chelsea fans has made Costa furious with Conte again. He felt he could have stayed here longer if he had not been treated badly by the tactician.

“I left with bad conditions with the manager. He no longer counts on me after winning the (Premier League) for the second time,” he concluded.
