DBasia.news – Argentine legend Diego Armando Maradona made another sensation. In fact, the former Napoli and Barcelona player was just appointed as the president of Belarusian team, Dinamo Brest, on July 1.
But now, the 57-year-old man duty will be added after receiving the offer from Mexican second division league team, Dorados de Sinaloa. The Dorados team announced the surprising news through the team’s official Twitter account on Friday (7/9).
Certainly, Dorados added to the list of the unpopular teams coached by Maradona. Remembering the team’s journey, Dorados are the specialist of Mexican League second class division. Dorados were the champion in 2003, 2007, 2015, and 2016.
Maradona’s coaching career isn’t as bright as his role as a football player. He started the coaching career in the Argentine team: Mandiyu de Corrientes and Racing Club. And then, he was appointed as the coach of the Argentine national team from November 2008 until July 2010.
Unfortunately, Maradona could only bring Argentine until the quarter-final of 2010 World Cup after the 0-4 defeat from Germany. After his journey together with the national team, Maradona spent his coaching career outside Argentine.
He led two United Arab Emirates teams: Al-Wasl and Fujairah SC with no title. Now with Dorados, the ‘hand of God goal’ player is trying his luck.
