Difficulty in Extending the Contract, PSG Are Ready to Release Kylian Mbappe
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) seems to have given up on being able to extend Kylian Mbappe’s contract. Les Parisiens are now preparing to release the striker to Real Madrid.
Mbappe’s future has indeed become one of PSG’s focuses this summer. The 22-year-old’s contract has only one year remaining.
PSG want to renew Mbappe’s contract in order to keep one of his best assets. However, the plan was rejected.
Mbappe has on several occasions expressed his desire to seek new experiences elsewhere. Real Madrid became one of his dream clubs.
PSG initially believed they could change Mbappe’s stance. Bringing in a row of new stars including Lionel Messi is one way.
However, this method does not seem to work. Mbappe’s decision not to extend the contract was unanimous.
This condition makes PSG in a dilemma. The French giants have to choose to sell him now or keep him and let him go next year for free.
According to a Diario AS report, PSG prefers the sale option. They can get large amounts of fresh funds from releasing Mbappe.
In order to make this happen, PSG is ready to pick up the ball. They are ready to offer Mbappe to Madrid.
Representatives of PSG and Madrid will have a meeting to discuss this issue. The schedule is predicted to take place in the next few days.
From the same report, Nasser Al-Khelaifi as PSG president will step down directly to complete the transfer of Mbappe. This is proof of their seriousness.
Even though he has one year left on his contract, Mbappe’s price is still very high in the market. PSG is believed to not be releasing him for under 90 million euros.
