Disappointed, Olivier Giroud wants to leave Chelsea

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Chelsea striker, Olivier Giroud reportedly wants to leave this winter. The striker was disappointed that he had only a few minutes to play.

At the start of the season, Olivier Giroud decided to stay after Frank Lampard insisted he still needed his services. Lampard feels that Giroud’s experience and sharpness will be key on the front lines.

However, the current condition was not what the player expected. Giroud only warmed the bench. Lampard has trusted the Chelsea front line to be inhabited by Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Tammy Abraham.

So far, Giroud has only played 33 minutes in the Premier League. Inevitably, the former Arsenal player reportedly wanted to leave.

The Daily Star reported that Giroud’s wish to leave was also motivated by strong reasons. The striker wants to strengthen the French national team at next year’s European Cup. Giroud is aware that his chances of defending Les Bleus are running low after being over 30 years old.

However, some time ago, Giroud confirmed that he would not just leave Chelsea. He wanted to fight for a place.

“I have written a book called ‘Always Believe’. So, I will not go anywhere without fighting,” explained Giroud.

“There is competition, but I will fight and we will see the results at the end of last season. I believe I still have a role to play at Chelsea. We’ll see maybe in January.”

A number of media in Italy have reported that Inter Mlian are interested in Giroud. Antonio Conte thinks Giroud is suitable to be a coating for Romelu Lukaku.
