DBasia.news – Italian national team goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, opened up after the 2-1 win against Belgium in the quarter-finals of the Euro 2020. Donnarumma was in disbelief and was happy to be able to ward off the shot of the Belgian attacking midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne.

Italy scored two goals through Nicolo Barella and Lorenzo Insigne. Meanwhile, Belgium only got one goal through Romelu Lukaku’s penalty kick.

Throughout the match, Belgium attacked Italy’s defense a lot. However, Donnarumma’s brilliant action under the crossbar became a barrier. One that deserves a thumbs up is when the former AC Milan goalkeeper warded off Kevin De Bruyne’s kick.

“We won as a team. We have an extraordinary team,” said Donnarumma on the official website of the 2020 European Cup.

“I think I need to watch a video replay when I save Kevin De Bruyne’s kick. More than that, we are elated because we did our best and made Italians happy,” said Donnarumma.

“After the long whistle we were all thrilled. We suffered together to win this game.”

“I can’t wait to enter the locker room to celebrate this victory with my other team-mates. We are very happy with this victory,” stated the goalkeeper who was rumored to be headed to Paris Saint-Germain.

Next, Italy will challenge Spain in the semifinals. Unfortunately, the Azzurri are not expected to be able to play Leonardo Spinazzola, who has suffered a serious injury.
