Dortmund Doubted Premier League Team Financial to Bring Jadon Sancho
By db-admin
DBasia.news – The brilliant performance displayed by Jadon Sancho in the last two seasons have made him the main target of Premier League clubs. But Borussia Dortmund as the club owner believes they can maintain one of their mainstay player.
Sancho has been outstanding this season. He scored 17 goals in 35 appearances in all competitions with Dortmund.
Manchester United and Chelsea are two of the most eager Premier League clubs to get Sancho. The players from the two clubs have even made a personal approach.
Even so, the club interested in Sancho must spend big enough to get Sancho. Dortmund put a high price because the 20-year-old player is still under a contract with a long duration.
Initially the two Premier League clubs were reportedly ready to make up for the expensive price of Sancho. But the situation now after the world was hit by the coronavirus pandemic making competitions suspended.
That makes almost all European clubs experience financial problems. Dortmund management also believes that no club will be able to pay the Sancho transfer fee.
“There is no new situation with Sancho. At present, there is no club that will take any risk in making transfers with large amounts of money even English clubs,” Borussia Dortmund Sports Director Michael Zorc said as quoted by Sport1.
“We have a long-term contract with Jadon Sancho and that is why we are truly relaxed.”
What Zorc said has a point. Manchester United CEO Ed Woodward has insisted he will not spend large funds in the transfer market while the pandemic is still ongoing.
