Dortmund have found a replacement for Haaland
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Romelu Lukaku has recently been linked with a return to Inter Milan in the summer. ThomBorussia Dortmund have sold their flagship striker Erling Haaland to City. It turns out Dortmund has found a new spearhead for the 2022-2023 season, Sebastien Haller.
Dortmund were unable to resist the departure of Haaland this summer. The Norwegian striker finally moved to Manchester City for a transfer fee of around 52 million pounds.
The departure of Haaland must be a big loss for Dortmund. The 21-year-old player has been the main focus of Die Borussen to score goals in the last 2.5 seasons.
Haaland has a total of 83 goals in 87 games for Dortmund. A very impressive statistic.
But Dortmund refuse to dwell in memories of the past. Finding a replacement for Haaland is an obligation.
Dortmund then dropped the choice to Haller. He was brought from Ajax Amsterdam at a low cost from the sale of Haaland. “Deal is done. Borussia Dortmund completed the transfer of Sebastien Haller from Ajax for a fee of 35 million euros,” tweeted transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.
“Personal terms have also been agreed. Dortmund are preparing a schedule for medical tests and signing a contract.”
Haller does have the capacity to replace Haaland’s role. Last season he was able to collect 34 goals from 42 matches with Ajax.
Haller even had time to compete in the hunt for the Champions League top scorer title with a collection of 11 goals. But he finally had to settle for being in third place after Karim Benzema and Robert Lewandowski.
