DBasia.news – Borussia Dortmund dropped the hint that they would sign Achraf Hakimi as the permanent player, said Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke.
Hakimi is the loan-player from Real Madrid. The contract duration for the 20-year-old player at Signal Iduna Park is until summer 2020.
“Dear Paco Alcacer, welcome to Borussia Dortmund,” said Watzke.
“And Achraf Hakimi – we will try to do the same thing with you, even though it will not be easy.”
Hakimi usually plays as the right-back. However, the Morocco international team player could play in the defensive line as the center-back.
If he returns to Santiago Bernabeu, Hakimi must compete the main squad position. Apparently, there are some right-back players besides Dani Carvajal the prominent one, like Alvaro Odriozola and Nacho Fernandez.
Despite he was born in Madrid, Hakimi chose to defend Morocco national team. He has played in 14 caps, including three group qualification rounds in 2018 World Cup.
