An exciting duel was created at Old Trafford when Manchester United faced Liverpool. Understandably, both teams are heavy rivals in the match titled North West Derby.

Appearing before his own supporters, Manchester United appeared aggressively from the start. Unfortunately there were no chances created in the first 10 minutes of the match.

Roberto Firmino actually opened the opportunity first when the game ran for 10 minutes. Utilizing Sadio Mane’s ball, unfortunately Firmino’s strike had not met the target.

Two minutes later it was Andreas Pereira’s turn that almost put Manchester United ahead. Like Roberto Firmino, Pereira’s shot was wide.

Liverpool received a golden opportunity in the 34th minute, again through Roberto Firmino. Unfortunately Firmino’s kick was saved by David De Gea.

Manchester United actually broke the deadlock two minutes later. Starting from Daniel James’s bait, Marcus Rashford listed his name on the scoreboard.

Towards the break, Liverpool equalized. Unfortunately Sadio Mane’s goal was disallowed after the player struck the ball first by hand according to VAR.

Entering the second half, it was the visitors’ turn to play impressively. Divock Origi and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain repeatedly endangered Manchester United’s goal.
