During the Europa League Final, Mustafi Demands Perfection at Arsenal’s Back Line

DBasia.news –  Chelsea will play the London Derby against Arsenal in the Europa League final 2018-19 in Baku, Azerbaijan, Thursday (30/5) WIB. Arsenal defender, Shkodran Mustafi ,hopes the Arsenal defense will play well in the match.

The 27-year-old center back considers the team that make the fewest mistakes is at the back line, being tight in defense, has a great chance of winning the match later. Although in fact, the two teams have met quite often in the Premier League.

“It’s about how we start the match and which team is more organized. We (Arsenal and Chelsea) know each other very well and we play a lot of games against each other,” Mustafi said on Sky Sports.

“They know our weaknesses; we know their weaknesses and this will be a fight on who makes the fewest mistakes. The match will be very tight.”

“But, I believe in the team and every player, I believe we are good enough to beat them. Even if you play against Chelsea, this is the Europa League.”

“This is the final so the match will be different from what we played in the Premier League. This is a match when one mistake punishes you and that’s why we have to be very careful,” explained Mustafi.

The German player also understands that criticism for the player who plays as a defender is very large if they make a mistake, especially if the error creates a goal for the opponent.

“It’s our job as defenders to try not to concede, but if you do 90 percent of the work and 10 percent of your opponents score, then people will forget the 90 percent,” said Mustafi.
