Dybala and Chiesa made interesting records after scoring goals against Zenit

DBasia.news – Juventus confirmed a place in the top 16 of the Champions League. This certainty was obtained after Il Bianconeri’s 4-2 victory over Zenit Saint Petersburg at Juventus Stadium, Wednesday (03/11) am, WIB.

In the six-goal drama four of Juventus’ goals came from two goals by Paulo Dybala (11′, 58′ penalty), Federico Chiesa (73′) and Alvaro Morata (82′). Meanwhile, Zenit’s two goals came from own goals by Leonardo Bonucci (26′) and Sardar Azmoun (90+2′).

Juventus swept four matches with a win and won 12 points in Group H of the Champions League.

Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus are at the top of the standings with 12 points, followed by Chelsea (nine points), Zenit (three points) and Malmo (0 points).

“I have no problem with the team’s performance tonight. We played well and with intensity. But we can improve,” said Allegri as quoted from the official UEFA website.

“The last five minutes are typical of this team. At 4-1, we had four counter-attacks that we didn’t finish well and we ended up conceding a goal.”

“It’s a matter of managing the game well. You can’t risk conceding a goal, which is always bad even when you have a solid lead. The game is at one point, and at that point you have to defend the ball until the final whistle. We didn’t do that.”

Paulo Dybala and Federico Chiesa are the stars of the game

The positive side of Juventus who are still inconsistent in Serie A is the sharpness of goals from their three attackers. Chiesa, Dybala and Morata scored. It’s good for their confidence.

“Juventus played a great game, both on an individual and team level. Chiesa and Dybala undoubtedly made the difference. Juventus’ performance was great in the Champions League,” said former Inter Milan defender turned pundit, Massimo Paganin.

For the third time in the club’s history, Juventus won the first four group stage matches after the 1995-1996 and 2004-2005 seasons. Their two strikers, Paulo Dybala and Federico Chiesa, also created records.

Dybala has been involved in nine goals in 10 appearances this season across all competitions (six goals, three assists). His two goals also became his first brace in the Champions League since October 2019.

The achievements recorded by Chiesa were just as great. The European Cup 2020 champion has now gone through the achievement of Juventus legend, Zinedine Zidane in terms of the number of goals. Chiesa has scored six goals in the Champions League with Juventus, while Zidane has five.

His six goals also match the record of his father, Enrico Chiesa. According to additional data from Opta, Chiesa is also the first Juventus player to score in four consecutive home games in the Champions League, since David Trezeguet in November 2001.
