Dybala doesn’t care about his bad Champions League record
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Paulo Dybala had a less fulfilling record when competing in the Champions League. But the Argentinian striker doesn’t seem to care about that.
Dybala contributed one goal when Juventus won 3-0 over Malmo in the inaugural match of Group H of the 2021-2022 Champions League, Wednesday (15/9) am, WIB. It was his first goal of the tournament in ten months.
In the Champions League last season, Dybala was only able to score one goal. That moment occurred in the three group stages when they traveled to Ferencvaros headquarters, November 24, 2020.
After that, Dybala was unable to score in five consecutive games. This is one of the reasons Juventus were eliminated in the 16th round.
Welcoming the new season, Dybala made a good start. He immediately scored in the first match of the group phase, although only through the penalty spot.
“I didn’t know that (the Champions League goal record)! I’m happy to have scored because it helps my confidence. So I can play more relaxed and help the team,” Dybala told Sport Mediaset.
The victory over Malmo was Juventus’ first this season. Naturally, the burden on the Bianconeri squad began to lift.
Dybala also showed a sense of optimism. He believes this positive result will continue in the next matches.
“We did it calmly, as a big team, and got the result we needed. Now we must continue to walk along this path.”
