Empoli Feeling Harmed When Defeated by Lazio

DBasia.news –  Beppe Iachini claimed Empoli felt big regret after they failed to bring home what the team deserved against Lazio on Thursday.

“In the last 5-6 matches, we have been involved in a number of unfortunate incidents, but there is not much we can do about this,” the coach said after his side was defeated by Lazio, 0-1.

“We did some great moves, but we didn’t have the last pass that was right in the final third of the opponent’s area.

“For our commitment, we deserved more, so we are very sorry. We just have to keep working hard and play with this character,” Iachini added.

The only Lazio goal was scored by Felipe Caicedo through the penalty spot after an Empoli player, Ivan Provedel made a mistake.

“Things that Caicedo did clearly could change the course of the game,” explained Iachini. “We did not bring home what we deserve. Under pressure, it’s better for Provedel to throw the ball,” he continued.
