DBasia.news – England’s superiority in Wembley has collapsed after the 2-1 defeat in the UEFA Nations League of Group A on Saturday (8/9) local time.

The match went as expected after Marcus Rashford wrote his name on the scoreboard at 11′. The player used the passing from his teammate in Manchester United, Luke Shaw.

The situation made England left unguarded. Two minutes later, La Furia Roja balanced the situation with a volley kick from Saul Niguez. Cleverly, the Atletico Madrid player received the passing from Rodrigo Moreno.

Rodrigo was a threat for England throughout the match. After giving an assist, at 32′, he scored a goal that brought La Furia Roja won 2-1.

In the remaining match, both clubs are attacking. However, the 2-1 victory for Spain lasted until the whistle blew.

The failure was painful for England because that was the first time for Harry Kane and friends to fail in front of their own supporters at Wembley in a competitive match.

In fact, the last defeat of England at Wembley happened when Croatia defeated them with a 2-3 score at November 2017. Since then, during the 24 England matches, they never felt the shame in front of their own public.

The three points of achievement made Spain stay in the leading of the temporary standing. While England follow in the second position. Meanwhile, the third position is for Croatia who will have their first match on Tuesday (11/9) against Spain.
