DBasia.news – 7 matches and 6 goals, that’s Reiss Nelson’s peak performance in Bundesliga. He enjoys the trust by Julian Nagelsmann since leaving Arsenal with on loan status.
Starting to show his positive performance, the 18-year-old player drops the hint returning to The Gunners soon. Besides, Nelson also has the ambition to be Arsenal’s legend, after returning there.
“Arsenal are my boyhood club. I’ve been with them since I was eight, so that’s 10 years,” Nelson said cited by Mirror.
“I just want to go back there stronger because at the time I was at Arsenal I was 16, 17 and I didn’t feel confident. I want to be an Arsenal legend. And, for England, it’s the best. You can’t beat playing for your country I don’t think.”
Last season, Nelson joined The Gunners senior squad and played 16 caps. However, his performance was still average hence the on loan status to Hoffenheim.
