Erik Ten Hag is suggested to imitate Arsenal’s transfer strategy

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Manchester United interim manager, Ralf Rangnick, suggested that Erik ten Hag next season imitate the transfer strategy adopted by Arsenal. What is the reason?

It has been confirmed that Erik ten Hag will manage Manchester United next season. The 52-year-old coach is on a three-year contract with the option of an extension for one season.

Ten Hag’s task at Man United is not easy as he has to rebuild the squad so that it can be more competitive in order to compete for prestigious trophies. This means that in the next summer transfer market, Ten Hag will make a major overhaul by releasing players who are considered to have minimal contributions and bring in new players.

Regarding this, Ralf Rangnick then suggested that Ten Hag should emulate Arsenal’s transfer strategy. Rangnick thinks the Gunners made the right decision by getting rid of players who are considered unsuitable for the team’s game scheme and to bring in potential young players.

“Arsenal made the right decision this summer. They got rid of several players who did not match the manager’s playing style,” Rangnick said as quoted by Man United’s official website.

“They also brought some young players like Odegaard into their team. We have to learn from their experience.”

Rangnick himself stated his readiness to help Ten Hag if the manager needed his input in the upcoming transfer market.

“I still believe that it won’t take us two to three years to change the situation at this club,” he continued.

“I think in one year we can catch up with other teams. I think in two or three transfer windows we can catch up,” he concluded.
