Erling Haaland abstains from the Premier League top sorer list

DBasia.news – Erling Haaland resembles Frankenstein or a cyborg (half human half robot). But every time he plays, Manchester City have guaranteed goals.
Most recently, Southampton became a victim of the ferocity of the Norwegian national team striker when they were defeated by Man City 4-0 through goals from Joao Cancelo, Phil Foden, Riyad Mahrez, and Erling Haaland. Haaland scored again.
He has played nine matches in the Premier League with Man City, of those nine matches the 22-year-old striker has scored 15 goals (recorded three assists). The other five goals were scored in the Champions League and in total he has scored 20 goals in 13 matches.
His 15 goals have brought Haaland running alone at the top of the current Premier League top scorer list, followed closely below him is Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane with a record of 8 goals and 11 assist.
Even his closest rivals are 7 points adrift. Followed at number three, three players with a total of 6 goals namely Aleksandar Mitrovic, Ivan Toney, and Phil Foden who incidentally is a team-mate of Haaland.
“Haaland is part of our team, he is our striker. Like any other striker, if we can find him, it’s perfect because he is on fire,” Man City winger Riyad Mahrez told BBC Sport.
Those are the two words that best describe Haaland’s performance. The price tag of 60 million euros when he was signed from Borussia Dortmund is nothing considering his current form, especially Haaland joining a team that has played with a clear system under Pep Guardiola.
“I’m upset with him, he didn’t score 3 goals. That’s why there is a petition to fire him from the Premier League!” joked Guardiola after the match against Southampton.
“The expectations here are so high that people expect him to score three or four goals every game. But in the end he was there to score. He helped us again, kept the ball and fought and I thought Erling played really well today. Sooner or later Haaland would be able to score 40 goals if he stays prime.”
