Erling Haaland Begins to Get Disturb, Dortmund CEO Criticizes Media

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Erling Haaland last week revealed that he was under pressure from Borussia Dortmund to make a decision on his future, amid continued speculation linking him with Barcelona and Real Madrid.

However, recently the CEO of Dortmund, Hans-Joachim Watzke, denied that his party had done so.

In an interview with Sport1, Watzke said that his side could not pose any threat to the player to immediately determine his future.

The 62-year-old believes that the media, which continues to carry rumors of a move for Haaland, has made the 21-year-old player start to get annoyed, thus issuing a false statement.

“Erling is obviously a bit disturbed by all the rumours, but we can’t influence him (to make a decision right away). We told him that too,” said Hans-Joachim Watzke.

“The fact that one of the outlets wrote that Dortmund would give him an ultimatum, (as) was said before until February, is complete nonsense. We have now reached a point where 98 percent of news in the media is based on speculation, and will eventually continue to be so. There are no problems at all between us.”

For now, Erling Haaland still has a contract with Borussia Dortmund until the summer of 2024. However, he could leave in the summer of 2022, if a club is willing to activate his 75 million euros release clause.
