DBasia.news – Liverpool did have to be eliminated from the 2020-2021 FA Cup after a 2-3 defeat of Manchester United at Old Trafford, Monday (25/1) am, WIB. But Jurgen Klopp as manager of the Reds saw the positive side of this failure.
The results of the match against Manchester United has made Liverpool swallow two successive defeats in the last week. Previously, they also lost 0-1 at home to Burnley in the Premier League.
Not only that, Liverpool’s front line is also in the spotlight after failing to score goals in the last four matches in the Premier League. Therefore, Klopp considered scoring two goals against Manchester United as an improvement.
“There were a lot of good things and some mistakes between goals that happened. If you want to win here you have to really be at the top and we are not,” Klopp told the BBC.
“We can bring a lot out of this match, we try to learn from every game.”
Klopp admitted that Manchester United made it difficult for his team in the match. However, he considered Liverpool to have improved a lot compared to the defeat of Burnley.
“We scored two goals, we had other situations where we created great chances against low defensive blocks, so there are a lot of good things,” he added.
“I see a lot of steps in the right direction, it’s good preparation for the game against Tottenham, with their threat of counter-attack, so we know exactly what we have to do.”
