DBasia.news – Antonio Conte said that Inter Milan appeared to dominate against Shakhtar Donetsk. The second match in Group B of the Champions League which took place at the Kiev Olympic Stadium on Wednesday (28/10) ended in a goalless draw. But Conte still praised his team’s play.
“I think there are positive aspects about this game. We played with the right intensity, with the right commitment, as a big team. We dominated and we were unlucky. We had several chances to score, we played very good games in both phases,” said Conte as quoted from the Italian Football, Wednesday (28/10).
According to Conte, Shakhtar is a team with technical quality. He also apologized for failing to win the match. However, Conte made sure the team was on the right path with a good mentality. He saw an improvement in his team.
“We have been together for a year, the people have gained knowledge and gained confidence. We are pressing in every part of the field, trying to take the ball from our opponents,” he continued.
On the other hand, Conte is also happy because his team didn’t concede either. He was grateful that Inter’s goal didn’t concede in two consecutive matches. However, at the same time, he apologized for not having scored a goal when having multiple goal chances.
“I really can’t blame my players. Don’t forget this is the fourth game in ten days. I’m not looking for an excuse but we started this cycle of matches with six people who have contracted the coronavirus, plus the injured, which means we have to do it without eight players,” concluded the former Chelsea manager.
